MCI INFOGRAPHIC

Mild Cognitive Impairment (MCI) is a condition characterized by a slight but noticeable decline in cognitive abilities, including memory and thinking skills. It’s more severe than normal age-related changes but less severe than dementia. Approximately 15-20% of people aged 65 and older have MCI.

While not all individuals with MCI develop Alzheimer’s disease, it’s estimated that 10-15% of people with MCI progress to Alzheimer’s annually. MCI can be considered an early stage of Alzheimer’s in some cases.
